A Kinase Anchor Proteins (AKAPs) are a family of proteins that serve as scaffolding molecules, organizing and compartmentalizing signaling complexes within cells. They play a crucial role in regulating the spatial and temporal aspects of cellular signaling by tethering protein kinase A (PKA) and other signaling enzymes to specific subcellular locations.
