Background
Proteinase-Activated Receptors (PARs) are a class of G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) that are activated by proteolytic cleavage of their N-terminal domain. The cleavage unmasks a new N-terminus, which acts as a tethered ligand, initiating intracellular signaling cascades. Among the PARs, F2R, also known as PAR1, is one of the most studied members. Structural Features:
