Dual Adapter for Phosphotyrosine and 3-Phosphoinositide 1 (DAPP1), also known as Bam32 (B lymphocyte adapter molecule of 32 kDa), is an adaptor protein involved in signal transduction pathways that regulate various cellular processes, particularly in immune cells. DAPP1 is expressed predominantly in B cells, macrophages, and other hematopoietic cells, where it plays a key role in mediating signaling downstream of B cell receptors (BCR) and other receptors involved in immune responses. DAPP1’s ability to bind to phosphoinositides and phosphotyrosines allows it to integrate signals from different pathways, contributing to the regulation of cell activation, proliferation, and survival.
