Descripción
ABTB2 is another member of the ankyrin repeat and BTB/POZ domain-containing protein family, playing a regulatory role in cellular signaling and transcriptional control. The BTB/POZ domain enables dimerization and interactions with ubiquitin ligases, suggesting a role in protein degradation and turnover. ABTB2 is highly expressed in tissues such as the brain and lungs, where it participates in regulating developmental and stress-response pathways. It is also involved in modulating cell cycle progression and apoptosis, linking it to tumor suppressor functions. Emerging evidence indicates that ABTB2 may influence pathways related to metabolic regulation and cellular differentiation.
