Note | Validity: The validity for this kit is 6 months. This product is for research use only. The range and sensitivity is subject to change. Please contact us for the latest product information. For accurate results, sample concentrations must be diluted to mid-range of the kit. If you require a specific range, please contact us in advance or write your request in your order comments. Please note that our ELISA and CLIA kits are optimised for detection of native samples, rather than recombinant proteins. We are unable to guarantee detection of recombinant proteins, as they may have different sequences or tertiary structures to the native protein. |
Descripción
TFAP2D is a lesser-characterized member of the AP-2 transcription factor family, primarily involved in the regulation of gene expression during development and differentiation. It binds to target DNA sequences in regulatory regions to control genes involved in neural crest cell formation, epithelial tissue differentiation, and organogenesis. TFAP2D is expressed in embryonic tissues, where it plays a role in cell cycle regulation, apoptosis, and tissue morphogenesis. Its function overlaps with other AP-2 family members, although its specific biological roles remain under investigation. Dysregulation of TFAP2D may contribute to developmental abnormalities and potentially tumorigenesis. Knockdown or loss-of-function studies suggest that TFAP2D is required for proper embryonic patterning, epithelial cell development, and transcriptional control during organ development.

Transcription Factor AP-2-Delta (TFAP2D) Antibody
Sequence-specific DNA-binding protein that interacts with inducible viral and cellular enhancer elements to regulate transcription of selected genes. AP-2 factors bind to the consensus sequence 5'-GCCNNNGGC-3' and activate genes involved in a large spectrum of important biological functions including proper eye, face, body wall, limb and neural tube development. They also suppress a number of genes including MCAM/MUC18, C/EBP alpha and MYC (By similarity).
