Note | Validity: The validity for this kit is 6 months. This product is for research use only. The range and sensitivity is subject to change. Please contact us for the latest product information. For accurate results, sample concentrations must be diluted to mid-range of the kit. If you require a specific range, please contact us in advance or write your request in your order comments. Please note that our ELISA and CLIA kits are optimised for detection of native samples, rather than recombinant proteins. We are unable to guarantee detection of recombinant proteins, as they may have different sequences or tertiary structures to the native protein. |
Descripción
Coronin 2A (CORO2A) is part of the coronin protein family, and it plays a key role in regulating actin dynamics and cell movement. Similar to other coronin proteins, CORO2A is involved in cellular processes like endocytosis, cytokinesis, and cell migration. Its function is particularly important in immune cells and neurons, where it helps coordinate the movement and function of these cells during immune responses and synaptic activity. CORO2A has been implicated in the regulation of immune cell signaling, particularly in T cells, where it aids in cell motility and immune synapse formation. This makes CORO2A an essential protein for both immune responses and neuronal processes. Dysregulation or mutations in CORO2A have been linked to immune-related diseases and could impact the efficacy of the immune system’s response to pathogens.

This gene encodes a member of the WD repeat protein family. WD repeats are minimally conserved regions of approximately 40 amino acids typically bracketed by gly-his and trp-asp (GH-WD), which may facilitate formation of heterotrimeric or multiprotein complexes. Members of this family are involved in a variety of cellular processes, including cell cycle progression, signal transduction, apoptosis, and gene regulation. This protein contains 5 WD repeats, and has a structural similarity with actin-binding proteins: the D. discoideum coronin and the human p57 protein, suggesting that this protein may also be an actin-binding protein that regulates cell motility. Alternative splicing of this gene generates 2 transcript variants.
