Note | Validity: The validity for this kit is 6 months. This product is for research use only. The range and sensitivity is subject to change. Please contact us for the latest product information. For accurate results, sample concentrations must be diluted to mid-range of the kit. If you require a specific range, please contact us in advance or write your request in your order comments. Please note that our ELISA and CLIA kits are optimised for detection of native samples, rather than recombinant proteins. We are unable to guarantee detection of recombinant proteins, as they may have different sequences or tertiary structures to the native protein. |
Descripción
ADGRA1, also known as GPR123, is a member of the adhesion G protein-coupled receptor (GPCR) family, characterized by long extracellular domains facilitating cell-cell or cell-matrix interactions. This protein is highly expressed in the central nervous system and is implicated in neurodevelopmental processes, including axon guidance and synaptic formation. ADGRA1 contains a GPCR autoproteolysis-inducing (GAIN) domain, allowing for self-cleavage to regulate receptor activation. Its precise signaling mechanisms are still being studied, but it is believed to influence intracellular pathways like cAMP production and calcium mobilization. Dysregulation of ADGRA1 has been associated with neurological disorders and certain cancers, highlighting its relevance in both physiology and pathology.
