Note | Validity: The validity for this kit is 6 months. This product is for research use only. The range and sensitivity is subject to change. Please contact us for the latest product information. For accurate results, sample concentrations must be diluted to mid-range of the kit. If you require a specific range, please contact us in advance or write your request in your order comments. Please note that our ELISA and CLIA kits are optimised for detection of native samples, rather than recombinant proteins. We are unable to guarantee detection of recombinant proteins, as they may have different sequences or tertiary structures to the native protein. |
Descripción
QRFPR is a G protein-coupled receptor (GPCR) activated by pyroglutamylated RFamide peptides, a family of neuropeptides that play a role in regulating physiological processes such as pain modulation, feeding behavior, and hormone secretion. QRFPR primarily couples to Gq proteins, stimulating phospholipase C (PLC) and increasing intracellular calcium, leading to downstream cellular responses. It is expressed in the central nervous system, particularly in regions involved in appetite control and reward systems, as well as in peripheral tissues involved in hormone regulation. QRFPR is involved in modulating sensory processing, specifically in nociception, by influencing pain pathways. Dysregulation of QRFPR signaling is implicated in disorders related to metabolism and pain. This receptor's unique role in mediating these processes makes it a potential target for therapeutic interventions aimed at treating pain and metabolic disorders.
