Note | Validity: The validity for this kit is 6 months. This product is for research use only. The range and sensitivity is subject to change. Please contact us for the latest product information. For accurate results, sample concentrations must be diluted to mid-range of the kit. If you require a specific range, please contact us in advance or write your request in your order comments. Please note that our ELISA and CLIA kits are optimised for detection of native samples, rather than recombinant proteins. We are unable to guarantee detection of recombinant proteins, as they may have different sequences or tertiary structures to the native protein. |
Descripción
STRA13, also known as CENPX, is a member of the basic helix-loop-helix (bHLH) family of transcription factors. STRA13 is upregulated in response to retinoic acid, hypoxia, and other cellular stress signals, where it functions as a transcriptional repressor or activator depending on its interaction partners. It regulates processes such as cell cycle progression, apoptosis, immune responses, and metabolic pathways. STRA13 plays a crucial role in hypoxia-inducible factor (HIF)-mediated responses by suppressing cell proliferation and modulating oxygen-dependent pathways. It is highly expressed in immune cells, cancer tissues, and hypoxic environments, where it controls inflammatory cytokine production and enhances cellular survival under low oxygen. Dysregulation of STRA13 is associated with cancer progression, immune dysregulation, and metabolic disorders. Loss-of-function studies reveal defects in immune regulation, impaired response to hypoxia, and abnormal cell proliferation, emphasizing its role in stress adaptation, transcriptional regulation, and homeostasis maintenance.
