Background

LINGO3 is a member of the LINGO (Leucine-Rich Repeat and Immunoglobulin-Like Domain) family, primarily expressed in the nervous system. It features leucine-rich repeat (LRR) domains, which mediate protein-protein interactions, and immunoglobulin-like (Ig) domains, which contribute to cell signaling. LINGO3 is implicated in neuronal development and axon guidance, where it influences the growth and differentiation of neurons.
