Pro-Gastrin Releasing Peptide (ProGRP) is a precursor protein for gastrin-releasing peptide (GRP), a neuropeptide involved in a variety of physiological processes, including the regulation of gastric acid secretion, smooth muscle contraction, and pancreatic enzyme release.
