Background

HTR1D is a member of the serotonin receptor family and is classified as a G protein-coupled receptor (GPCR) that mediates the inhibitory effects of serotonin (5-HT). Predominantly located in the central nervous system, particularly in regions like the trigeminal nerve and cerebral vasculature, HTR1D plays a crucial role in regulating vasoconstriction, pain modulation, and neurotransmitter release.
