Description

CORO1C Antibody is a Rabbit Polyclonal antibody against CORO1C. This gene encodes a member of the WD repeat protein family. WD repeats are minimally conserved regions of approximately 40 amino acids typically bracketed by gly-his and trp-asp (GH-WD), which may facilitate formation of heterotrimeric or multiprotein complexes. Members of this family are involved in a variety of cellular processes, including cell cycle progression, signal transduction, apoptosis, and gene regulation. Three transcript variants encoding two different isoforms have been found for this gene.

Descripción

Coronin 1C (CORO1C) is another member of the coronin protein family with a role in regulating actin filament dynamics. Like CORO1A and CORO1B, CORO1C plays a crucial role in cellular processes such as actin-based movement, endocytosis, and cytokinesis. However, CORO1C is particularly important in the regulation of the immune system, where it modulates the signaling pathways of immune cells, including T cells, and contributes to the response to inflammation. It is also involved in maintaining the structural integrity of immune synapses, which are crucial for the communication between immune cells. Similar to the other coronins, CORO1C's dysregulation can impair immune function and has been associated with conditions that affect immune responses. Understanding the role of CORO1C in immune cell signaling and actin dynamics is critical for advancing therapeutic strategies targeting immune-related diseases.
