Description

TLR1 Antibody is a Rabbit Polyclonal antibody against TLR1. Members of the Toll-like receptor (TLR) family, named for the closely related Toll receptor in Drosophila, play a pivotal role in innate immune responsesTLRs recognize conserved motifs found in various pathogens and mediate defense responsesTriggering of the TLR pathway leads to the activation of NF-κB and subsequent regulation of immune and inflammatory genesThe TLRs and members of the IL-1 receptor family share a conserved stretch of approximately 200 amino acids known as the TIR domainUpon activation, TLRs associate with a number of cytoplasmic adaptor proteins containing TIR domains including MyD88 (myeloid differentiation factor), MAL/TIRAP (MyD88-adaptor-like/TIR-associated protein), TRIF (Toll-receptor-associated activator of interferon), and TRAM (Toll-receptor-associated molecule)This association leads to the recruitment and activation of IRAK1 and IRAK4, which form a complex with TRAF6 to activate TAK1 and IKKActivation of IKK leads to the degradation of IκB that normally maintains NF-κB inactivity by sequestering it in the cytoplasmToll-like receptor expression is highest in peripheral blood leukocytes, monocytes, macrophages, though TLR1 expression may be less restricted than other family membersTLR1 associates with TLR2 to coopeRatively mediate immune responses to bacterial lipoproteins and lead to NF-κB activationTLR1 shows highest homology to TLR6, which shares 69% sequence identity.

Descripción

Toll-like receptor 1 (TLR1) is a member of the toll-like receptor (TLR) family, a critical component of the innate immune system that detects and responds to pathogens through pattern recognition. TLRs are integral to recognizing pathogen-associated molecular patterns (PAMPs), which are conserved molecular structures in microbes, such as bacterial cell wall components. TLR1, in particular, functions predominantly as a co-receptor with TLR2 and recognizes lipoproteins and lipopeptides derived from bacterial membranes. By binding these ligands, TLR1 initiates intracellular signaling pathways that activate pro-inflammatory cytokine production and immune cell recruitment, key processes for mounting an immune response against infection. TLR1 is primarily expressed on immune cells like monocytes, macrophages, dendritic cells, and neutrophils, and is involved in host defense against bacterial, fungal, and some viral pathogens. Its role in immune responses makes TLR1 a valuable focus for understanding immune signaling pathways and developing potential treatments for infections, inflammatory diseases, and cancers.

Toll-Like Receptor 1 (TLR1) Antibody

TLR1 Antibody is a Rabbit Polyclonal antibody against TLR1. The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the Toll-like receptor (TLR) family which plays a fundamental role in pathogen recognition and activation of innate immunity. TLRs are highly conserved from Drosophila to humans and share structural and functional similarities. They recognize pathogen-associated molecular patterns (PAMPs) that are expressed on infectious agents, and mediate the production of cytokines necessary for the development of effective immunity. The various TLRs exhibit different patterns of expression. This gene is ubiquitously expressed, and at higher levels than other TLR genes. Different length transcripts presumably resulting from use of alternative polyadenylation site, and/or from alternative splicing, have been noted for this gene.
