Toll-like receptor 1 (TLR1) is a member of the toll-like receptor (TLR) family, a critical component of the innate immune system that detects and responds to pathogens through pattern recognition. TLRs are integral to recognizing pathogen-associated molecular patterns (PAMPs), which are conserved molecular structures in microbes, such as bacterial cell wall components. TLR1, in particular, functions predominantly as a co-receptor with TLR2 and recognizes lipoproteins and lipopeptides derived from bacterial membranes. By binding these ligands, TLR1 initiates intracellular signaling pathways that activate pro-inflammatory cytokine production and immune cell recruitment, key processes for mounting an immune response against infection. TLR1 is primarily expressed on immune cells like monocytes, macrophages, dendritic cells, and neutrophils, and is involved in host defense against bacterial, fungal, and some viral pathogens. Its role in immune responses makes TLR1 a valuable focus for understanding immune signaling pathways and developing potential treatments for infections, inflammatory diseases, and cancers.

Toll-Like Receptor 1 (TLR1) Antibody

TLR1 Antibody is a Rabbit Polyclonal antibody against TLR1. The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the Toll-like receptor (TLR) family which plays a fundamental role in pathogen recognition and activation of innate immunity. TLRs are highly conserved from Drosophila to humans and share structural and functional similarities. They recognize pathogen-associated molecular patterns (PAMPs) that are expressed on infectious agents, and mediate the production of cytokines necessary for the development of effective immunity. The various TLRs exhibit different patterns of expression. This gene is ubiquitously expressed, and at higher levels than other TLR genes. Different length transcripts presumably resulting from use of alternative polyadenylation site, and/or from alternative splicing, have been noted for this gene.
