Sialic Acid Binding Ig Like Lectin 15 (SIGLEC15) Antibody (FITC)

Background

SIGLEC15 is predominantly expressed on macrophages, dendritic cells, and osteoclasts. Unlike other Siglecs, SIGLEC15 shows specificity for modified sialic acids and is crucial for osteoclast development and bone resorption. It interacts with ligands on T cells to regulate immune responses, making it a potential target for cancer immunotherapy as it suppresses anti-tumor immunity. SIGLEC15 is highly expressed in the tumor microenvironment and has been associated with poor prognosis in certain cancers. Its roles extend to tissue remodeling and maintaining immune homeostasis in non-inflammatory conditions.
