Descripción

Retinoic acid receptor gamma (RARG) is another nuclear receptor that responds to retinoic acid and regulates the expression of genes involved in cellular differentiation, metabolism, and apoptosis RARG forms a heterodimer with RXR and binds to specific RAREs to regulate gene transcription It is essential for the proper development of various tissues, including the brain, skin, and heart, and plays a role in regulating metabolism and immune function RARG is involved in the differentiation of cells in the central nervous system, influencing processes like neurogenesis and neuronal plasticity It also regulates the immune response, particularly in T-cell differentiation and the resolution of inflammation Dysregulation of RARG has been linked to various diseases, including cancers and autoimmune conditions, where altered retinoic acid signaling can lead to uncontrolled cell growth or immune system dysfunction Studies suggest that RARG could be a potential target for therapies aimed at modulating retinoic acid signaling to treat diseases such as cancer and inflammatory disorders

RARG antibody

Receptor for retinoic acid. Retinoic acid receptors bind as heterodimers to their target response elements in response to their ligands, all-trans or 9-cis retinoic acid, and regulate gene expression in various biological processes. The RAR/RXR heterodimers bind to the retinoic acid response elements(RARE) composed of tandem 5'-AGGTCA-3' sites known as DR1-DR5. In the absence of ligand, acts mainly as an activator of gene expression due to weak binding to corepressors. Required for limb bud development. In concert with RARA or RARB, required for skeletal growth, matrix homeostasis and growth plate function(By similarity).
