Relaxin/Insulin Like Family Peptide Receptor 2 (RXFP2) Antibody

Background

RXFP2 is another member of the relaxin/insulin-like family peptide receptors, activated by relaxin-2 and its analogs. RXFP2 primarily couples to Gs proteins, stimulating adenylate cyclase to increase cAMP levels and induce downstream effects such as smooth muscle relaxation, vasodilation, and remodeling of tissues. RXFP2 is expressed in various tissues, including the brain, reproductive system, and heart, where it is involved in regulating reproductive functions such as ovulation, pregnancy, and labor, as well as maintaining vascular tone. RXFP2 also plays a key role in modulating heart function by influencing cardiac remodeling, fibrosis, and endothelial function.
