Note
The validity for this kit is at least 6 months. Up to 12 months validity can be provided on request. This product is for research use only. The range and sensitivity is subject to change. Please contact us for the latest product information. For accurate results, sample concentrations must be diluted to mid-range of the kit. If you require a specific range, please contact us in advance or write your request in your order comments. Please note that our ELISA and CLIA kits are optimised for detection of native samples, rather than recombinant proteins. We are unable to guarantee detection of recombinant proteins, as they may have different sequences or tertiary structures to the native protein.

Descripción

TGFB2 is a member of the TGF-β cytokine family, which regulates a wide range of cellular processes, including proliferation, differentiation, migration, apoptosis, and immune suppression. TGFB2 is critically involved in embryogenesis, particularly in the development of the heart, lungs, and central nervous system, as well as in tissue homeostasis and repair. It signals through SMAD-dependent and non-SMAD pathways, modulating gene expression and cellular responses to environmental stimuli. TGFB2 plays an essential role in immune regulation, where it suppresses inflammation and promotes tolerance by inducing regulatory T cell (Treg) development. Dysregulation of TGFB2 is implicated in developmental disorders, fibrosis, and tumor progression, where it drives epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) and facilitates immune evasion. Knockout studies show severe developmental defects, including cardiac abnormalities, craniofacial malformations, and impaired organogenesis, underscoring TGFB2’s importance in tissue development, immune modulation, and homeostatic maintenance.

TGFB2-Specific antibody

Tranforming growth factor beta-2(TGFB2), also named G-TSF, BSC-1 cell growth inhibitor, Polyergin and Cetermin, belongs to the TGF-beta family. TGFB2 is a secreted protein and contains a 19aa signal peptides at its N-terminal. Heterodimers with TGFB1 and with TGFB2 have been found in bone. It was proved to have suppressive effects on interleukin-2 dependent T-cell growth. This antibody is TGFB2 specific not detecting other TGFBs.
