NoteValidity: The validity for this kit is 6 months. This product is for research use only. The range and sensitivity is subject to change. Please contact us for the latest product information. For accurate results, sample concentrations must be diluted to mid-range of the kit. If you require a specific range, please contact us in advance or write your request in your order comments. Please note that our ELISA and CLIA kits are optimised for detection of native samples, rather than recombinant proteins. We are unable to guarantee detection of recombinant proteins, as they may have different sequences or tertiary structures to the native protein.

Descripción

Receptor Activity Modifying Protein 2 (RAMP2) is another member of the RAMP family that regulates the activity of GPCRs by interacting with the calcitonin receptor-like receptor (CRLR) to form the adrenomedullin (AM) receptor. Adrenomedullin, a potent vasodilatory peptide, plays a key role in vascular biology, angiogenesis, and fluid balance. RAMP2-AM receptor signaling is crucial for maintaining endothelial integrity, promoting vascular smooth muscle relaxation, and enhancing nitric oxide production to regulate blood pressure. RAMP2 is highly expressed in endothelial cells, cardiac tissues, and the renal system, where it contributes to fluid balance, renal function, and cardiovascular homeostasis. Its role in angiogenesis makes it essential for fetal development and tissue repair. Dysregulation of RAMP2 signaling has been implicated in diseases such as preeclampsia, pulmonary hypertension, and chronic heart failure, where impaired vascular function exacerbates pathological conditions. RAMP2 also exerts protective effects during inflammatory processes by reducing endothelial damage and promoting immune cell recruitment. Therapeutic modulation of RAMP2 function has potential applications in vascular diseases, hypertension, and conditions requiring enhanced angiogenic responses, such as wound healing or ischemic injuries.

Receptor Activity Modifying Protein 2 (RAMP2) Antibody

RAMP2 Antibody is a Rabbit Polyclonal antibody against RAMP2. The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the RAMP family of single-transmembrane-domain proteins, called receptor (calcitonin) activity modifying proteins (RAMPs). RAMPs are type I transmembrane proteins with an extracellular N terminus and a cytoplasmic C terminus. RAMPs are required to transport calcitonin-receptor-like receptor (CRLR) to the plasma membrane. CRLR, a receptor with seven transmembrane domains, can function as either a calcitonin-gene-related peptide (CGRP) receptor or an adrenomedullin receptor, depending on which members of the RAMP family are expressed. In the presence of this (RAMP2) protein, CRLR functions as an adrenomedullin receptor. The RAMP2 protein is involved in core glycosylation and transportation of adrenomedullin receptor to the cell surface.
