Coronin 1A (CORO1A) is a member of the coronin family of proteins, which play key roles in regulating actin dynamics and cellular processes such as endocytosis, cytokinesis, and immune cell signaling. CORO1A, specifically, is crucial for the function of immune cells, including T cells and macrophages. It is involved in controlling actin polymerization and organization, which affects cell motility, phagocytosis, and intracellular trafficking. CORO1A has been implicated in the regulation of both the immune response and synaptic plasticity in neurons.
