Descripción
RAB4B, member RAS oncogene family (RAB4B) is closely related to RAB4A and also regulates vesicular trafficking and endosomal dynamics RAB4B is involved in recycling endosomal trafficking, helping to regulate the movement of endosomes and proteins between cellular compartments and maintaining membrane integrity It plays a role in receptor recycling and in the trafficking of various membrane-bound proteins, thereby affecting processes like cell adhesion, migration, and signal transduction RAB4B has been shown to influence cell surface protein composition, impacting the function of key receptors and signaling pathways Dysregulation of RAB4B has been linked to several diseases, including cancer, where improper vesicular recycling can contribute to uncontrolled cell proliferation and metastasis Additionally, RAB4B has roles in other cellular processes such as autophagy and immune cell trafficking, further underscoring its importance in maintaining cellular homeostasis and function
