Descripción
Myomesin 3 (MYOM3) is a more recently characterized member of the myomesin family, sharing structural and functional similarities with MYOM1 and MYOM2. While MYOM3 is expressed in both skeletal and cardiac muscles, its specific roles and regulatory mechanisms are less understood. MYOM3 likely contributes to M-band stability and sarcomeric organization, complementing the functions of MYOM1 and MYOM2.
