Note | Validity: The validity for this kit is 6 months. This product is for research use only. The range and sensitivity is subject to change. Please contact us for the latest product information. For accurate results, sample concentrations must be diluted to mid-range of the kit. If you require a specific range, please contact us in advance or write your request in your order comments. Please note that our ELISA and CLIA kits are optimised for detection of native samples, rather than recombinant proteins. We are unable to guarantee detection of recombinant proteins, as they may have different sequences or tertiary structures to the native protein. |
Descripción
PTGDR, also known as DP1, is a G protein-coupled receptor (GPCR) that binds prostaglandin D2 (PGD2), a lipid mediator involved in allergic inflammation, immune regulation, and sleep. PTGDR primarily couples to Gs proteins, activating adenylate cyclase, which increases intracellular cAMP levels, leading to downstream effects such as vasodilation, inhibition of platelet aggregation, and modulation of immune cell activity. PTGDR is expressed in mast cells, Th2 lymphocytes, and airway epithelial cells, where it plays a role in allergic diseases such as asthma, allergic rhinitis, and atopic dermatitis. Activation of PTGDR promotes smooth muscle relaxation, mucus production, and chemotaxis of immune cells during inflammation. Dysregulation of PTGDR is implicated in chronic allergic inflammation and respiratory disorders. PTGDR antagonists are being explored for treating asthma and other Th2-driven allergic conditions by reducing PGD2-mediated inflammation and immune responses.
