Note | Validity: The validity for this kit is 6 months. This product is for research use only. The range and sensitivity is subject to change. Please contact us for the latest product information. For accurate results, sample concentrations must be diluted to mid-range of the kit. If you require a specific range, please contact us in advance or write your request in your order comments. Please note that our ELISA and CLIA kits are optimised for detection of native samples, rather than recombinant proteins. We are unable to guarantee detection of recombinant proteins, as they may have different sequences or tertiary structures to the native protein. |
Descripción
P2RY6 is a G protein-coupled receptor activated by extracellular UDP (uridine diphosphate) and to a lesser extent UTP, mediating cellular responses to nucleotide release during tissue injury or inflammation. P2RY6 couples primarily to Gq proteins, leading to phospholipase C (PLC) activation, calcium mobilization, and downstream signaling that regulates inflammation, immune responses, and smooth muscle contraction. P2RY6 is widely expressed in immune cells, smooth muscle, and epithelial tissues, where it modulates cytokine production, chemotaxis, and vascular tone. In inflammation, P2RY6 plays a central role in recruiting immune cells and amplifying inflammatory signaling, contributing to diseases such as asthma, arthritis, and colitis. It is also involved in smooth muscle contraction in the vascular and gastrointestinal systems. Dysregulation of P2RY6 signaling is linked to chronic inflammatory diseases, cardiovascular dysfunction, and metabolic disorders. P2RY6 antagonists are being investigated as therapeutic agents for inflammation, asthma, and vascular diseases due to their role in regulating immune and smooth muscle responses.

P2Y Purinoceptor 6 (P2RY6) Antibody
P2Y Purinoceptor 6 (P2RY6) Antibody is a Rabbit Polyclonal antibody against P2RY6. The product of this gene belongs to the family of P2 receptors, which is activated by extracellular nucleotides and subdivided into P2X ligand-gated ion channels and P2Y G-protein coupled receptors. This family has several receptor subtypes with different pharmacological selectivity, which overlaps in some cases, for various adenosine and uridine nucleotides. This receptor, which is a G-protein coupled receptor, is responsive to UDP, partially responsive to UTP and ADP, and not responsive to ATP. It is proposed that this receptor mediates inflammatory responses. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants that encode different protein isoforms.
