Descripción
CARMIL3 is a cytoskeletal regulator involved in actin filament dynamics and cellular signaling. Like other members of the CARMIL family, it interacts with capping proteins and myosin-I to modulate actin polymerization and depolymerization. CARMIL3 is implicated in cell adhesion, migration, and intracellular trafficking processes. It has been linked to cancer cell invasion and metastasis through its role in actin cytoskeleton remodeling. Research into CARMIL3 is ongoing to understand its contribution to cytoskeletal regulation and its potential as a target for cancer therapy, where actin dynamics play a pivotal role in tumor progression.
