Note | Validity: The validity for this kit is 6 months. This product is for research use only. The range and sensitivity is subject to change. Please contact us for the latest product information. For accurate results, sample concentrations must be diluted to mid-range of the kit. If you require a specific range, please contact us in advance or write your request in your order comments. Please note that our ELISA and CLIA kits are optimised for detection of native samples, rather than recombinant proteins. We are unable to guarantee detection of recombinant proteins, as they may have different sequences or tertiary structures to the native protein. |
Descripción
KPNA7, or importin-α7, is the newest member of the karyopherin-α family, functioning as an adaptor protein in classical nuclear import pathways. It binds to nuclear localization signals (NLS) on cargo proteins and forms a complex with importin-β1 for transport through the nuclear pore complex (NPC). KPNA7 is expressed predominantly during early embryonic development and in germ cells, where it plays a key role in nuclear protein transport critical for zygotic genome activation and cellular differentiation. It has been implicated in embryonic development, stem cell function, and fertility. Dysregulation of KPNA7 is associated with developmental abnormalities, infertility, and certain cancers, particularly in the context of disrupted nuclear transport of transcription factors and regulatory proteins. Knockout studies suggest its essential role in early embryogenesis and nuclear transport during critical stages of development.
