Note | Validity: The validity for this kit is 6 months. This product is for research use only. The range and sensitivity is subject to change. Please contact us for the latest product information. For accurate results, sample concentrations must be diluted to mid-range of the kit. If you require a specific range, please contact us in advance or write your request in your order comments. Please note that our ELISA and CLIA kits are optimised for detection of native samples, rather than recombinant proteins. We are unable to guarantee detection of recombinant proteins, as they may have different sequences or tertiary structures to the native protein. |
Descripción
(CMKLR2), also known as GPR1, is a lesser-studied receptor within the chemerin signaling axis. CMKLR2 binds chemerin-derived peptides, though its affinity and downstream signaling pathways differ slightly from CMKLR1. CMKLR2 is expressed in neuronal tissues, endothelial cells, and adipocytes, suggesting diverse roles in metabolism and immune regulation. While its function remains under investigation, CMKLR2 is believed to modulate neuroinflammation and glucose homeostasis. In metabolic tissues, CMKLR2 influences insulin signaling and adipocyte differentiation, contributing to energy storage and utilization. In the central nervous system, CMKLR2 is implicated in regulating neural plasticity and inflammatory responses during neurodegenerative diseases like multiple sclerosis. Recent studies also highlight its role in tumor biology, where it may support angiogenesis and tumor progression under hypoxic conditions. The overlap of CMKLR2's signaling with CMKLR1 suggests a cooperative role in immune regulation, inflammation, and metabolic disorders. Targeting CMKLR2 alongside CMKLR1 could offer a broader therapeutic strategy for obesity, autoimmune conditions, and neurological disorders.
