Descripción
Coronin 2B (CORO2B) is another member of the coronin protein family, and it shares similarities with CORO2A in its role of regulating actin dynamics. CORO2B is particularly important in the context of immune cells, such as macrophages, where it helps in processes like phagocytosis, cell migration, and the maintenance of actin cytoskeleton integrity. It also contributes to the regulation of immune responses and is involved in signaling pathways that control the activity of immune cells. In addition to its role in immune function, CORO2B has also been found to influence cell signaling in other tissues, including neurons, where it impacts processes related to cell movement and plasticity. Dysregulation of CORO2B can lead to immune deficiencies and other pathologies related to actin regulation.
