Descripción
CD300LB, also known as CD300 molecule-like family member B, is a member of the CD300 family of receptors, which play significant roles in regulating immune responses. This family includes a range of receptors that can either activate or inhibit immune cell functions, contributing to the fine-tuning of immune responses. CD300LB is encoded by the gene located on human chromosome 17q25, which is a region rich in genes involved in immune regulation. CD300LB is expressed on various immune cells, particularly myeloid cells, such as monocytes, macrophages, and dendritic cells. It functions primarily as an activating receptor, participating in the modulation of inflammatory responses and pathogen defense mechanisms.
