Form | Lyophilized To keep the original salt concentration, we recommend reconstituting to the original concentration prior to lyophilization (see Concentration) in ddH2O. If a lower concentration is required, dilute in PBS, pH 7.4. If a higher concentration is required, the product can be reconstituted directly in PBS, pH 7.4, though please note that this will change the overall salt concentration. The stock concentration should be between 0.1-1.0 mg/ml. Do not vortex. |

Descripción
ABCA6 is an ATP-binding cassette transporter that is thought to be involved in lipid metabolism and cholesterol transport, although its exact substrates and physiological roles are not fully characterized. It is primarily expressed in tissues such as the liver, macrophages, and vascular endothelial cells, where it may participate in lipid efflux and reverse cholesterol transport. ABCA6 shares structural similarities with other members of the ABCA subfamily, containing two transmembrane domains and two nucleotide-binding domains that facilitate ATP-driven substrate translocation. Dysregulation of ABCA6 expression has been associated with metabolic syndromes and cardiovascular diseases, suggesting its involvement in lipid-related disorders. Further research is needed to elucidate its specific functions in cellular lipid handling and disease progression.
