Descripción

ANKRD56 (SOWAHB) is a protein containing multiple ankyrin repeat domains, which are structural motifs known for facilitating protein-protein interactions. ANKRD56 has been implicated in hematopoiesis, particularly in the development and differentiation of hematopoietic stem cells. Studies suggest that ANKRD56 plays a role in regulating cell fate decisions during blood cell development by modulating signaling pathways and transcriptional activity in stem and progenitor cells. Dysregulation of ANKRD56 may contribute to hematological disorders, where improper regulation of stem cell differentiation can lead to abnormalities in blood cell production. Its role in hematopoietic processes highlights its significance in maintaining blood system homeostasis.
