Descripción

ANKRD34B is a protein containing ankyrin repeat domains with structural and functional similarities to ANKRD34A. It is localized in the nucleus and is believed to regulate chromatin structure and transcriptional activity. ANKRD34B likely interacts with other nuclear proteins to coordinate gene expression, particularly during processes such as cell differentiation, DNA repair, and cellular stress responses. ANKRD34B has been implicated in maintaining genomic stability, as its dysregulation may lead to aberrant transcriptional control and genomic instability, a hallmark of cancer. Studies suggest that ANKRD34B may also play roles in developmental regulation and cellular proliferation. Its nuclear localization and chromatin-related functions highlight its significance in cellular homeostasis and disease pathology.
