Background

Microfibril-Associated Protein 3 (MFAP3) is a member of the microfibril-associated protein (MFAP) family, which are integral components of the extracellular matrix (ECM) and are involved in the assembly and stabilization of microfibrils. These microfibrils are primarily composed of fibrillin and provide critical structural support to connective tissues.
