Background

LRIG3 is another member of the LRIG family, with structural domains similar to LRIG1 and LRIG2. It is widely expressed in neural tissues, the vascular system, and other organs, where it influences cell signaling, development, and tissue organization. LRIG3 is thought to play a role in neuronal development by regulating axon guidance and synaptic plasticity.
