Descripción
LRRC45 is a centrosomal protein implicated in microtubule organization and mitotic spindle formation during cell division its expression is highly enriched in proliferative tissues where it regulates centrosomal dynamics and ensures proper chromosome segregation studies suggest that LRRC45 interacts with key components of the centrosome and microtubule network to maintain cellular architecture and division fidelity dysregulation of LRRC45 has been associated with chromosomal instability and cancer progression particularly in aggressive tumors characterized by abnormal mitosis LRRC45 may also play a role in ciliogenesis by regulating microtubule anchoring and centrosome function ongoing research is focused on characterizing its interactions with centrosomal proteins and exploring its potential as a therapeutic target for cancers involving mitotic defects further understanding of its molecular function could provide insights into centrosome biology and its role in genomic stability
