Note | Validity: The validity for this kit is 6 months. This product is for research use only. The range and sensitivity is subject to change. Please contact us for the latest product information. For accurate results, sample concentrations must be diluted to mid-range of the kit. If you require a specific range, please contact us in advance or write your request in your order comments. Please note that our ELISA and CLIA kits are optimised for detection of native samples, rather than recombinant proteins. We are unable to guarantee detection of recombinant proteins, as they may have different sequences or tertiary structures to the native protein. |
Descripción
TAAR8 is a member of the trace amine-associated receptor family, which is a subset of G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) activated by trace amines, such as phenylethylamine and tryptamine. This receptor is expressed in various regions of the central nervous system (CNS) and is believed to play a role in modulating neurotransmission and influencing behaviors related to mood and cognition. Like other trace amine receptors, TAAR8 likely couples to Gi proteins, affecting intracellular signaling pathways like the inhibition of adenylate cyclase, which lowers cAMP levels. Although its precise physiological functions are not fully understood, TAAR8 is implicated in regulating central nervous system responses to stimuli and has potential relevance in disorders such as anxiety, depression, and neurodegenerative diseases. Understanding TAAR8’s specific role could offer therapeutic opportunities in mental health and neuropsychological conditions.
