Please contact us for the latest product information. For accurate results, sample concentrations must be diluted to mid-range of the kit. If you require a specific range, please contact us in advance or write your request in your order comments. Please note that our ELISA and CLIA kits are optimised for detection of native samples, rather than recombinant proteins. We are unable to guarantee detection of recombinant proteins, as they may have different sequences or tertiary structures to the native protein. |
Descripción
SERPINB5, also known as maspin (mammary serine protease inhibitor), is a member of the serpin (serine protease inhibitor) superfamily. Unlike many other serpins that function as protease inhibitors, SERPINB5 is unique in that it does not inhibit protease activity. Discovered in the early 1990s, SERPINB5 has since been the subject of extensive research due to its involvement in various cellular processes and its implications in cancer biology. This protein is encoded by the SERPINB5 gene located on chromosome 18q21.3, a region that has been associated with several types of cancer, particularly breast cancer. SERPINB5 is primarily expressed in epithelial cells and has been implicated in processes such as cell adhesion, migration, and apoptosis.

Serpin B5 (SERPINB5) Antibody
SERPINB5 Antibody is a Rabbit Polyclonal antibody against SERPINB5. SERPINB5 (serpin peptidase inhibitor, clade B (ovalbumin), member 5) is a protein-coding gene. Diseases associated with SERPINB5 include polymorphous low-grade adenocarcinoma, and laryngeal carcinoma. GO annotations related to this gene include serine-type endopeptidase inhibitor activity. An important paralog of this gene is SERPINB7.

Serpin B5 (SERPINB5) Antibody
SERPINB5 is a tumor suppressor. It blocks the growth, invasion, and metastatic properties of mammary tumors. As it does not undergo the S (stressed) to R (relaxed) conformational transition characteristic of active serpins, it exhibits no serine protease inhibitory activity.
