Form | Lyophilized To keep the original salt concentration, we recommend reconstituting to the original concentration prior to lyophilization (see Concentration) in ddH2O. If a lower concentration is required, dilute in PBS, pH 7.4. If a higher concentration is required, the product can be reconstituted directly in PBS, pH 7.4, though please note that this will change the overall salt concentration. The stock concentration should be between 0.1-1.0 mg/ml. Do not vortex. |

Descripción
RXFP1 is a G protein-coupled receptor activated by relaxin, a peptide hormone involved in reproductive, cardiovascular, and renal physiology. RXFP1 primarily couples to Gs proteins, stimulating adenylate cyclase and increasing intracellular cAMP levels, which in turn affects smooth muscle relaxation, vasodilation, and cell proliferation. RXFP1 is expressed in the reproductive tissues, kidneys, and blood vessels, where it plays a role in pregnancy, cardiac remodeling, and kidney function. During pregnancy, RXFP1 helps modulate uterine relaxation and cervical ripening. In cardiovascular health, RXFP1 is involved in regulating blood pressure and maintaining vascular integrity. Dysregulation of RXFP1 is linked to pregnancy complications, hypertension, and fibrosis. As a target for cardiovascular and renal diseases, RXFP1 receptor agonists are being explored for their potential in promoting tissue repair and reducing fibrosis, while antagonists could be used to modulate pregnancy-related vascular changes.
