This product is for research use only. The range and sensitivity is subject to change. Please contact us for the latest product information. For accurate results, sample concentrations must be diluted to mid-range of the kit. If you require a specific range, please contact us in advance or write your request in your order comments. Please note that our ELISA and CLIA kits are optimised for detection of native samples, rather than recombinant proteins. We are unable to guarantee detection of recombinant proteins, as they may have different sequences or tertiary structures to the native protein.

Descripción

PPP1R42 is a regulatory subunit of protein phosphatase 1 (PP1), which modulates the catalytic activity of PP1 by targeting it to specific substrates, cellular compartments, or signaling pathways. PPP1R42 is involved in processes such as centrosome function, spindle dynamics, and cell division through its interaction with microtubule-associated proteins and centrosomal components. It regulates PP1 activity to control mitotic progression, ensuring proper chromosome segregation and cell cycle regulation. PPP1R42 is predominantly expressed in tissues undergoing high rates of cell division, such as germ cells and embryonic tissues. Dysregulation of PPP1R42 leads to centrosomal defects, abnormal spindle formation, and impaired cell division, contributing to chromosomal instability and cancer progression. Functional studies indicate that PPP1R42 is essential for maintaining centrosome integrity and coordinating PP1 activity with mitotic processes to ensure accurate cell division and genomic stability.
