Note | Validity: The validity for this kit is 6 months. This product is for research use only. The range and sensitivity is subject to change. Please contact us for the latest product information. For accurate results, sample concentrations must be diluted to mid-range of the kit. If you require a specific range, please contact us in advance or write your request in your order comments. Please note that our ELISA and CLIA kits are optimised for detection of native samples, rather than recombinant proteins. We are unable to guarantee detection of recombinant proteins, as they may have different sequences or tertiary structures to the native protein. |
Descripción
unc-5 netrin receptor A (UNC5A) functions as a dependence receptor, primarily influencing axonal guidance and neural development in response to netrin-1. It mediates repulsive signals, steering neuronal processes during embryogenesis to ensure correct nervous system wiring. Additionally, UNC5A contributes to tissue morphogenesis by regulating cell adhesion and migration. Its role extends beyond neural development to tumor suppression, as its expression mediates apoptosis in the absence of netrin-1. Aberrant regulation of UNC5A has been associated with cancer progression, where its loss can enable evasion of programmed cell death, leading to unchecked tumor growth and metastasis.

anti- UNC5A antibody
Receptor for netrin required for axon guidance. Functions in the netrin signaling pathway and promotes neurite outgrowth in response to NTN1. Mediates axon repulsion of neuronal growth cones in the developing nervous system in response to netrin. Axon repulsion in growth cones may be mediated by its association with DCC that may trigger signaling for repulsion. It also acts as a dependence receptor required for apoptosis induction when not associated with netrin ligand.
