NCK Associated Protein 5 (NCKAP5) is involved in cellular signaling and cytoskeletal organization, though its specific functions are less well-characterized compared to other NCK-associated proteins. It is believed to interact with actin-binding proteins and contribute to processes such as cell shape regulation, intracellular trafficking, and migration. NCKAP5 expression patterns suggest roles in neural development and other tissue-specific processes. Mutations or alterations in NCKAP5 expression may be associated with developmental abnormalities or diseases involving cytoskeletal dysfunction, warranting further study.
