NCK Associated Protein 1 Like (NCKAP1L) is a critical regulator of actin cytoskeleton dynamics, primarily involved in the formation of lamellipodia and cell migration. It is a component of the WAVE regulatory complex, which activates the Arp2/3 complex to promote actin polymerization. NCKAP1L is predominantly expressed in hematopoietic cells and is crucial for immune cell functions, including T cell activation and migration. It also plays a role in integrin-mediated adhesion and immune synapse formation.
