Form | Lyophilized To keep the original salt concentration, we recommend reconstituting to the original concentration prior to lyophilization (see Concentration) in ddH2O. If a lower concentration is required, dilute in PBS, pH 7.4. If a higher concentration is required, the product can be reconstituted directly in PBS, pH 7.4, though please note that this will change the overall salt concentration. The stock concentration should be between 0.1-1.0 mg/ml. Do not vortex. |
Tested Applications | WB, SDS-PAGE |
Buffer | Prior to lyophilization: PBS, pH 7.4, containing 0.01% Sarcosyl, 1 mM DTT, 5% Trehalose and Proclin-300. |

Descripción
ITLN2 is a closely related intelectin family protein sharing structural and functional similarities with ITLN1 It is secreted and primarily expressed in the gastrointestinal tract and other epithelial tissues ITLN2 participates in innate immunity by recognizing and binding to microbial components, particularly carbohydrate moieties on pathogenic bacteria and fungi It enhances microbial clearance by facilitating phagocytosis and immune activation ITLN2 expression is regulated during infection and inflammation, playing a critical role in host defense mechanisms Unlike ITLN1, ITLN2 appears to have a more restricted expression pattern and is less associated with metabolic regulation, focusing on immune surveillance in mucosal surfaces Dysregulation of ITLN2 may impair barrier immunity and has been implicated in gut inflammation and intestinal disorders, where its deficiency could increase susceptibility to infections and inflammatory bowel diseases ITLN2 represents a valuable component of epithelial defense mechanisms against microbial challenges
