Note | The validity for this kit is at least 6 months. Up to 12 months validity can be provided on request. This product is for research use only. The range and sensitivity is subject to change. Please contact us for the latest product information. For accurate results, sample concentrations must be diluted to mid-range of the kit. If you require a specific range, please contact us in advance or write your request in your order comments. Please note that our ELISA and CLIA kits are optimised for detection of native samples, rather than recombinant proteins. We are unable to guarantee detection of recombinant proteins, as they may have different sequences or tertiary structures to the native protein. |
Descripción
The interleukin 6 signal transducer (IL6ST), also known as gp130 or CD130, is a transmembrane protein that plays a crucial role in immune system regulation and cellular signaling. It functions as a common signal transducer for the IL-6 family of cytokines, which includes IL-6, IL-11, leukemia inhibitory factor (LIF), ciliary neurotrophic factor (CNTF), cardiotrophin-1 (CT-1), and others. These cytokines are involved in various physiological processes, including immune responses, hematopoiesis, inflammation, and tissue regeneration. IL6ST/gp130 is a key receptor component in the JAK/STAT signaling pathway and is widely expressed in various cell types, including immune cells, neurons, hepatocytes, and endothelial cells. Its broad expression and signaling capability allow it to mediate responses across different tissues, contributing to a range of cellular functions such as proliferation, differentiation, survival, and apoptosis. Dysregulation of gp130 signaling has been associated with multiple conditions, including autoimmune diseases, chronic inflammatory disorders, and various cancers.

IL-6 Receptor Subunit Beta / GP130 (IL6ST) Antibody
CD130/gp130 Antibody detects endogenous levels of total CD130/gp130. The protein encoded by this gene is a signal transducer shared by many cytokines, including interleukin 6 (IL6), ciliary neurotrophic factor (CNTF), leukemia inhibitory factor (LIF), and oncostatin M (OSM). This protein functions as a part of the cytokine receptor complex. The activation of this protein is dependent upon the binding of cytokines to their receptors.
