Descripción
DOCK11, also known as Zizimin2, is a GEF for Cdc42, regulating actin cytoskeleton dynamics, filopodia formation, and cell polarity. It is highly expressed in hematopoietic cells and supports processes like B-cell development, migration, and activation. DOCK11 is essential for lymphocyte trafficking and immune synapse formation, ensuring effective immune responses. It interacts with phosphoinositides for membrane localization and signaling. Dysregulation is linked to impaired immune functions, particularly in B lymphocytes, causing migration and adhesion defects. Studies in knockout models highlight its role in maintaining B-cell integrity and immune surveillance, underscoring its importance in hematopoietic cell biology.
