Note | Validity: The validity for this kit is 6 months. This product is for research use only. The range and sensitivity is subject to change. Please contact us for the latest product information. For accurate results, sample concentrations must be diluted to mid-range of the kit. If you require a specific range, please contact us in advance or write your request in your order comments. Please note that our ELISA and CLIA kits are optimised for detection of native samples, rather than recombinant proteins. We are unable to guarantee detection of recombinant proteins, as they may have different sequences or tertiary structures to the native protein. |
Descripción
CARD17P refers to a pseudogene within the caspase recruitment domain (CARD) family. The CARD family is characterized by a conserved domain involved in mediating protein-protein interactions in apoptotic and inflammatory signaling pathways. As a pseudogene, CARD17P is considered a non-functional relic of gene duplication or evolutionary processes, lacking the ability to produce a functional protein. However, pseudogenes like CARD17P can still exert regulatory roles, such as through transcriptional interference, RNA-mediated mechanisms, or modulation of their functional gene counterparts. CARD family genes are integral to immune responses and apoptotic processes, and while CARD17P itself may not encode an active protein, its presence could reflect genomic evolutionary adaptations or provide insight into the regulation and evolution of CARD-related pathways. Further investigation into pseudogenes like CARD17P continues to reveal their potential contributions to genetic and epigenetic regulatory landscapes.
