ABCB10, also known as mitochondrial ABC transporter-2, is primarily localized in the inner mitochondrial membrane and plays a critical role in mitochondrial function and heme biosynthesis. It is involved in transporting substrates required for heme production, a vital component of hemoglobin and cytochromes.
