Note | Validity: The validity for this kit is 6 months. This product is for research use only. The range and sensitivity is subject to change. Please contact us for the latest product information. For accurate results, sample concentrations must be diluted to mid-range of the kit. If you require a specific range, please contact us in advance or write your request in your order comments. Please note that our ELISA and CLIA kits are optimised for detection of native samples, rather than recombinant proteins. We are unable to guarantee detection of recombinant proteins, as they may have different sequences or tertiary structures to the native protein. |
Descripción
AGFG1 is a cytoplasmic protein that plays a key role in intracellular trafficking and RNA transport. It contains an Arf-GAP domain, which facilitates the regulation of small GTPases involved in vesicle formation, and FG repeats, which mediate interactions with nuclear pore complexes and RNA-binding proteins. AGFG1 is highly expressed in tissues such as the brain, immune cells, and reproductive tissues, where it participates in mRNA transport and localization. It is also involved in the HIV life cycle, specifically in the nuclear export of viral RNA, making it a potential therapeutic target for antiviral strategies. Dysregulation of AGFG1 has been associated with disruptions in intracellular transport and immune signaling, with emerging evidence suggesting its involvement in diseases such as viral infections and possibly cancer.

AGFG1 antibody
Required for vesicle docking or fusion during acrosome biogenesis(By similarity). May play a role in RNA trafficking or localization. In case of infection by HIV-1, acts as a cofactor for viral Rev and promotes movement of Rev-responsive element-containing RNAs from the nuclear periphery to the cytoplasm. This step is essential for HIV-1 replication.

ArfGAP With FG Repeats 1 (AGFG1) Antibody
AGFG1 Antibody is a Rabbit Polyclonal antibody against AGFG1. The protein encoded by this gene is related to nucleoporins, a class of proteins that mediate nucleocytoplasmic transport. The encoded protein binds the activation domain of the human immunodeficiency virus Rev protein when Rev is assembled onto its RNA target, and is required for the nuclear export of Rev-directed RNAs. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
