Descripción
ADGRF4, also called GPR116, is a member of the adhesion GPCR family and is widely expressed in endothelial cells, the lungs, and other tissues. It plays a critical role in vascular homeostasis and pulmonary surfactant regulation. ADGRF4 has been linked to endothelial barrier function, maintaining vascular integrity, and lung development. Dysregulation of ADGRF4 has been associated with conditions like pulmonary edema and cancer. Its potential as a therapeutic target is under investigation, particularly in the context of respiratory and vascular diseases.
